Ergo, tell me more?
Ergo is a brand of Ergo Insurance, an insurance company whose core business includes life insurances, funds and retirement savings products. Thanks to this, both private individuals and self-employed have the opportunity to build up a nice supplementary income during their professional career.
The story
In 2018 Tobania took part in an auditing request at Ergo. After working together for several years on the automation of their brokers’ pay-out system, the insurance company now wanted to guarantee more safety in the areas regarding security and GDPR. Tobania started with an analysis of the current system: an audit that identified possible shortcomings such as an administration overload, time loss and information ambiguity. Based on those insights, a customised solution was created, focusing on a proactive approach.
From role-based security management to SLA reporting
The goal of the project was to boost one of the Ergo pillars “improvement”, since the company’s security policy required some sharpening and fine-tuning. Bringing this into practice, adjustments were made with regard to roles and rights in the management of the broker commission. Besides that, we also implemented continuous reporting and monitoring based on our SLA Service Contract, which means that we used a customised maintenance plan to ensure the overall consistency of the system.
No more unexpected costs
Thanks to our proactive approach, we were able to keep the broker system healthy and up and running. The predictability of possible investments reduces from now on unexpected costs and enables Ergo to easily draw up its budgets.
