Changing Drupal suppliers is easier than you might think. Tobania has the necessary expertise and experience in transferring existing websites in different technologies. Would you like to work with us? Then we first make concrete agreements with you about the delivery or provision of your website. After we have access to the code of your website and the corresponding database, we will set it up in our development environment.

From version checks to hosting analyses

When you decide to switch over to Drupal, our lead developer or architect applies a procedure that he or she carries out to all parts of your website. It consists of five phases:

  1. Module version check: we look at the different versions you are using. This concerns both Drupal versions and all other modules, themes and libraries in use. This version check is our starting point for further updates or possible migration.

  2. Code consistency: In Drupal, there are several ways to make changes to the code of the core or modules you use from the Drupal community. However, some of these practices put future Drupal updates and used modules at risk. That's why we detect them in time and make sure we apply changes properly. That way, your website is always ready to be updated.

  3. Quality check: a very important part of our procedure is the quality check. This involves scrutinising the custom-written code and checking it for best practices, security and extensibility. Potential improvements are then discussed together.

  4. Links with external systems: it is always possible that your website has a number of links with external systems where data is sent to or retrieved from. We make an inventory of these links and document, for example, which data is exchanged and which protocols are used.

  5. Hosting Analysis: Have you decided to host your website on the Tobania servers after the acquisition? If so, we will also take a detailed look at the current hosting solution. This way we can check if any actions need to be taken in order to take over the hosting without any problems.
